Before: sleep well and eat something solid a couple of hours ahead. No alcohol the night before, and keep the area out of strong sun in the preceding days. Wear comfortable clothes that leave the area free without having to undress entirely.
Bring your ID. In Chile informed consent is mandatory and we need to verify who you are. If you are under 18, the regulation requires authorisation from a parent or guardian, present at the time.
During: it hurts, but the pain rises and falls. You can ask for breaks whenever you want, and asking is better than tensing up, because tension tires you out faster. If you feel faint, say so immediately.
The first hours: keep the dressing on for as long as you are told. Then gentle washing with neutral soap and clean hands, patting dry, and a thin layer of the cream we give you. Not too much, not too little.
The following two weeks: no pools, sea, baths or gym for the first days. A thin scab will form, and it must not be touched or scratched. No direct sun until it has fully closed, and sunscreen afterwards, always: sun is what wears a tattoo down over the years.
When to check with us: if warmth and redness increase after day three, if pain grows instead of fading, or if you run a fever. Message us — better to show it early.
